Next Class of Florida Citrus Hall of Famers Being Sought

Nominations are now being accepted for the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame’s Class of 2018.

Eligible nominees are distinguished leaders who have made significant contributions to the Sunshine State’s citrus industry in any of the following fields: pioneering, harvesting, packing, processing, marketing, scientific, and/or educational areas.

Nomination forms, along with information and videos on past inductees, can be found at FloridaCitrusHallofFame.com. All industry organizations are encouraged to submit a member.

The Class of 2017 included Jim Ellis, T. Ralph Robinson, and Mike Sparks.

The deadline for Class of 2018 nominations is November 1. All submissions should include a full summary of the nominee’s accomplishments, letters of support from industry members, and a photo. Any nominations received after this date will be considered for the following year.

Induction ceremonies are scheduled to take place on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. The luncheon is co-sponsored by Florida Citrus Mutual and the Florida Department of Citrus.
