Citrus Grower Has New Chief Operating Officer

Lakeland Ledger – November 20, 2009

Robert Behr has been promoted to chief operating officer at Florida’s Natural Growers effective Dec. 1, the Lake Wales citrus growers’ cooperative announced in a Wednesday press statement. The promotion from vice president for planning and product services doesn’t come with significant additional responsibilities but better reflects Behr’s role at Florida’s Natural, CEO Steve Caruso told The Ledger on Wednesday. An economist, Behr joined the cooperative in November 1994 as director of strategic planning. Gov. Charlie Crist recently reappointed him to a second three-year term on the Florida Citrus Commission.
