District Seven Board of Directors

J. Kevin Bynum is the owner/CEO of Premier Citrus, LLC in Vero Beach as well as Premier Citrus Packers, LLC and Twenty Mile Bend Groves, LLC.

First elected to the Mutual Board of Directors in 2005, Bynum represents District 7. He attended Murray State University and Florida Southern College.

Mike Monroe is general manager of Fellsmere Farms.

A third generation citrus grower, Monroe is a Vero Beach native. In addition to his work with Mutual, Monroe is a member of the Indian River Citrus League, Production Managers Association, Farm Bureau, SJRWMD Ag Advisory Board, and Fellsmere Water Control District Board.

Monroe and his wife Cheryl have two children, Sam and Emily, who like their father are both graduates of the University of Florida and employed in the agricultural industry.

Joining the Mutual Board of Directors in 2010, Monroe serves District 7.

Elson Raymond “Trey” Smith, III of Vero Beach is the vice president of Leroy Smith, Inc.

Representing District 7 on the Mutual Board of Directors since 2004, Smith has served as Eastern-Area Vice President. He has a BS in food and resource economics from the University of Florida.
